Tuscany Towns You Can’t Miss

Siena

Siena, located in central Tuscany, is the most romantic medieval city. Though small, the city is filled with lots of history. The medieval architecture is nothing you have ever seen before. Siena is definitely a trip worth making if you are in Tuscany even just for a day trip.

The Piazza del Campo is the main square of Siena. There are a bunch of cute shops and restaurants around this square. Located in Piazza del Campo is the Palazzo Pubblico, which is the most popular structure in Siena.

Built in the 13th century, the Siena Duomo Complex and the Siena Cathedral is one of the most incredible examples of Gothic architecture Italy has to offer. People travel from all over the world just to step inside the Cathedral, which holds amazing artwork by the famous Michelangelo.

San Gimignano

San Gimignano is the cutest Tuscan town, that has the most picturesque views.

You MUST get gelato at Gelateria Dondoli as it has been voted the World’s Best Gelato several years in a row.

Lucca

Climb the top of the Guinigi Tower for the most incredible view of Lucca.

I definitely recommend renting a bike in Lucca as it is the best way to see the city. There is a pedestrian path around the city that is perfect for riding bikes. We rented bikes from La Toscana Nel Cuore.
